We're moving!

Due to hassles created by New Version Blogger, we're moving. In fact we've already moved and started to settle in here. Kindly change your links and bookmarks accordingly. I know, it's a pain in the arse, but there was no going back, which is something they don't tell you until after you've upgraded to New Blogger, which is dubious anyway. So I'll leave you with this photo. It is a companion to the one in the first post at the new place...

Work in Progress

Not much action on the wobbly tooth front. It actually seemed to firm up for a couple of days, and D'Arcy keeps forgetting to wobble it.

He got these model dragons from 'book club' which like lots of non-mail-order bookshops these days seems to have moved to selling crap rather than books. In my youth, they sold crappy books, but they were still books. Anyway, the most recent demand was for model dragons that you paint yourself. I sent the order to school with a resigned sigh, and they arrived yesterday. They are pretty crappy, but they have kept D quite busy for two afternoons running, with promise of more time tomorrow. So here's hoping. The dragons have been named Smaug (red) and Calippo (black), and as you can probably see, Calippo's wings are not quite dry yet.

Due to a technical hitch, wherein I upgraded myself to new blogger, but Peter who actually set up this blog, has not yet done so, the image here is coming from Blogger, rather than Flickr. Hi Pete.

Interesting conversations of the early morning pt1

"Mum! When I put my lip over my bottom teeth, it feels funny."
"How so?"
"Here" pointing to bottom left tooth
Looking in mouth "that's because your TOOTH IS WOBBLY!!!"

Bathwater

throw the baby out
Originally uploaded by Crit Chicken.
When I ran a bath for D this morning, the water came out brown. Like old-school Adelaide water. We've been having a lot of weather lately, so I expect that is the cause, silt running off into the big dams and the filters unable to cope. To counter it, make it a more attractive prospect, I put in some blue food colouring, and sat back to watch the patterns it made. This is my favourite, with a drip from the tap making interesting ripples.

Now I have to go, 'cos we're in "hey mum! can you get me more lego to play with in the bath" mode...
