AARRGGHH!!
Disclaimer: Please excuse any lapses in G rated content within this post. Circumstances are currently very trying.
OK, so we moved house on 22/12. All good so far. Christmas went well, not too hot and D had a good time. I managed to get the old house cleaned up in time, even though I had D'Arcy full time while his dad had a holiday. On the 4th they both went down the coast for a week and I worked like a total bastard, as the boss was short staffed. Great, but the new house was still in boxes.
Then the bad news hit, I rang the phone company to find out how my installation was progressing in the queue, and was told that it wasn't. The idiot who processed it had 'saved' it (put it in limbo) instead of confirming it. So no phone. No broadband. The situtation went from bad to worse, and the projected installation time is 'first week of Feb'. Fuckwits. I'm in the middle of drafting a letter to their customer service manager to get them to pay me lots of money.
The good news. The beloved has had his visa application approved and should be arriving in the second week of Feb. Lets hope I get the phone on before then.
Still no house photos. Sorry. Lack of internet has got in the way there. I'm currently at my mum's house using her broadband. Thanks mum!
The new hosue is great, despite still being full of boxes, I occasionally get to fix that, but by bit, and when the beloved's furniture arrives we can really get things set up the way we want them.
Work is good, if chaotic. Christmas is full-on, and post christmas too. Things are almost back to normal now.
Missing blogger a lot, but reading more. I hope to be able to visit you all again soon.
